Why Choose Us?

Corporate Australia acknowledges the importance of workplace health. (See “Business Case” for more).

Individuals in good health work about 143 effective hours per month compared with 49 hours/month for someone in poor health.

The questions then becomes how to choose a great provider. Workplace Wellbeing has a clear lead over other providers to deliver your Corporate Health Strategy.

Three Great Principles

The principles that set Workplace Wellbeing apart from other corporate health providers:

  • “It’s all in the head” - good health and high performance start with your thinking.
  • People should be happy because of their jobs - not despite them.
  • We believe that happy staff make good employees and managers (and lead more productive and fulfilling lives).

So it will come as no surprise that we focus on mental fitness. Too many organisations focus on the physical side of health and fail to unleash the potential of good mental habits both for your organisation and your people [2] .

We know from hundreds of studies, (and our own personal experience) that whatever your current level of mental fitness, it can be improved. Mental and physical fitness are equally valuable.

Furthermore people who enjoy what they do will be good at it - and that has benefits for you AND your organisation. Read on to find out how we can help you to create a happy high-performing workplace.

Seven Reasons to Choose Us

1. We promote ‘Mental Fitness’

Thoughts have a physical reality: A recent study in the US found that even imagining flexing your biceps increases their size - and they stay bigger for 3 months afterwards!

While individuals might espouse their commitment to health sometimes it can be hard to achieve. Did you know that every year approximately 70% of employees attempt to adopt new and healthy lifestyle practices but less than 20 % are successful at maintaining them [3]?

Here at Workplace Wellbeing we emphasise the cognitive side of good health - this has a flow-on effect to physical wellness. We can teach your staff how to think and behave in ways to keep themselves happy, healthy, resilient and productive.

2. We are evidence-based

We are heavily evidence-based. If there is no science behind the intervention you won’t find it here. You won’t find aura-soma, colour therapy, tarot readings or astrology on this site. It’s not that we have are against these interventions, it’s just that they’re not supported by hard evidence and we believe that if you’re going to pay hard cash you need hard facts for your business case.

3. We use laughter

We are aligned with the worldwide Laugher Clubs and Laughter Yoga Movement. We are Australia’s leading corporate laughter leaders (see our sister site Laughter Works) and the only organisation that has focused exclusively on bringing the benefits of laughter yoga to the workplace. We incorporate laughter and fun in all our sessions because that’s how people learn best. Besides if you want them coming back for more you better make it enjoyable.

4. We practice what we preach

We practice what we preach - we test out and use all these interventions ourselves. In fact we got into the business because we found out just how valuable these techniques are for us.

5. Engaging sessions delivered by qualified trainers

All our providers are qualified in their fields and all our staff have additional teaching and/or facilitation qualifications. We are experts at adult education so you can be sure you are in professional hands.

6. It’s tied to business outcomes

With a hard-nosed background in business, our interventions are all about improving your business outcomes. After all, without an income stream there’ll be no organisation and no money for workshops, stress management or team-building activities.

7. A focus on happiness

Ultimately what separates Workplace Wellbeing from other organisations is that we think it’s important for people to be happy professionally and personally and we know we can help you on that journey.
