Happiness and laughter in the workplace

Study Finds Wellbeing Programs Achieve Only 20% Take-up – 1 Easy Solution

A recent study has shown that participation in workplace well-being programs is only 20%.  In our experience this is because workplace well-being programs are being implemented without paying any attention to the change management lessons we’ve learnt over the last couple of decades. Our programs achieve much higher participation rates, and much better long-term behavioural change.  Why?
Because our programs give each and every employee they’re own personal well-being plan.  This means that it becomes their well-being plan, not the organisation’s and not yet another corporate initiative foisted on them.  It’s basic change management. The reason you don’t hear about it from your well-being provider is because most of them are there to sell you programs – not to improve well-being.  Call up a few and see for yourself.  There’s rarely any strategy, and I don’t know of any that understand, or apply basic change management principles.  We think we are the exception :-).
